Every adventure has a beginning. On July 7, 2021, we welcomed SV Rabbit Hole, our Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410, and began a sailing journey filled with friendships, discovery, and unforgettable moments on San Francisco Bay.
Every great adventure has a beginning.
For Rabbit Hole, that beginning was July 7, 2021.
That was the day we officially took ownership of our 2021 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410, welcomed her into our lives, and set a course toward adventures we could only begin to imagine.
We knew we were getting a beautiful sailboat.
What we could not have known was just how many friendships, experiences, and unforgettable memories would come along with her.
Down the Rabbit Hole
There is something wonderful about the moment you decide to begin a new adventure.
You have an idea of where you want to go, but no way of knowing all the places the journey will take you.
For us, bringing Rabbit Hole home was one of those moments.
Her name seemed especially fitting.
A little curiosity. A willingness to explore. And the understanding that some of life's most rewarding experiences begin when you venture beyond the familiar.
We were ready to see where the journey would lead.
More Than Just a Sailboat
From her earliest adventures, Rabbit Hole proved to be everything we had hoped for.
Capable, comfortable, and always inviting.
Over the years, she has welcomed family, friends, students, racers, and fellow adventurers aboard.
Each has contributed something special to her story.
There have been beautiful days on San Francisco Bay, opportunities to learn new skills, challenges that made us better sailors, and moments of laughter and friendship that will stay with us for years.
Some adventures have taken us to new destinations.
Others have simply reminded us how wonderful it is to spend a day on the water with good people.
And through it all, Rabbit Hole has been at the center of those experiences.
The Beginning of Something Special
Looking back, Gotcha Day was about much more than bringing home a boat.
It was about making a commitment to adventure, exploration, and the experiences that come from sharing something you love.
We could not have imagined every turn the journey would take.
But we knew one thing.
We wanted Rabbit Hole to be a place where people could come together, learn, explore, and make memories.
And that is exactly what she has become.
