Rabbit Hole Sailing, LLC Announces Soft Opening

Rabbit Hole Sailing, LLC is officially entering its Invitation-Only Soft Launch Phase, marking the beginning of its direct bareboat charter program in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Built on a foundation of safety, seamanship, and professionalism, this measured rollout is designed to create a structured and high-quality charter experience for qualified sailors.

A Purposeful and Professional Launch

Over the past several weeks, the team has been carefully developing a direct bareboat charter program that reflects the standards associated with SV Rabbit Hole.

Rather than opening reservations to the public immediately, Rabbit Hole Sailing is launching with a controlled, invitation-only phase. This allows operations to begin with sailors who are already familiar with the vessel and its expectations.

Initial Invitations Were Sent To Sailors Who:

  • Joined the interest list
  • Completed the sailing experience survey
  • Previously chartered SV Rabbit Hole

If you joined the list but did not receive an invitation, you’ll be included in an upcoming wave.

During the first few months, all charters will remain invitation-only.

Why Start Small?

This soft launch phase allows Rabbit Hole Sailing to refine:

  • Screening and qualification procedures
  • Pre-sail briefings and vessel orientation
  • Navigational and operational guidelines
  • Post-sail inspections and debrief processes

The goal is simple: ensure that every charter reflects the high standard of seamanship the vessel represents.

Initial Charter Window: February 26 – March 8

The first direct Full-Day Bareboat Charters will take place between February 26 and March 8, with only a limited number of bookings available.

During This Introductory Phase:

  • Sailing is limited to the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Out-the-Gate sailing is not available
  • Expanded sailing areas will open after March 8 for fully qualified charterers

Future reservation waves will increase in size as operations scale responsibly.
