Charter Payment & Cancellation Policy
Charters with Rabbit Hole Sailing, LLC are reserved exclusively for each charter party. Because availability is limited, the following payment and cancellation policy applies to all charter reservations.
Reservation Deposit
A 50% deposit is required to reserve charter dates with Rabbit Hole Sailing, LLC.
Reservations are not confirmed until:
- The deposit is received, and
- Required screening and background check documents are submitted and processed (typically 2-3 business days).
The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the charter date.
For charters booked within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Cancellation Policy
More than 30 Days Prior to Charter
Payments made will be fully refunded, less a $75 administrative processing fee.
7–30 Days Prior to Charter
Payments made are non-refundable, but may be applied as a credit toward a future charter, subject to availability.
The charter rate in effect for the rescheduled charter date will apply. If the rescheduled charter is priced higher, the charterer will be responsible for the difference.
Less than 7 Days Prior to Charter
The full charter fee is non-refundable.
Weather Policy
Charters operate in a wide range of normal sailing conditions.
If Rabbit Hole Sailing, LLC determines that weather conditions present an unsafe operating environment, the charter may be:
- Rescheduled to another available date, or
- Refunded at the discretion of Rabbit Hole Sailing, LLC.
Light rain, fog, overcast conditions, or typical marine winds do not constitute grounds for cancellation.
Vessel Safety & Mechanical Cancellation
If Rabbit Hole Sailing, LLC determines that the vessel is not safe to operate due to mechanical issues, required repairs, equipment failure, or other safety concerns, the charter may be cancelled or rescheduled.
In such cases, charterers will be offered:
- Rescheduling to the next available charter date, or
- A full refund of payments made
Rabbit Hole Sailing, LLC is not responsible for travel expenses, lodging, or other incidental costs incurred by the charter party.
Charter Approval
All charter reservations remain subject to screening, vetting, and operational approval by Rabbit Hole Sailing, LLC.
If a charter request is declined during the screening process, any payments made will be fully refunded, except for background check fees, which are non-refundable.
