Announcing Collaboration between Rabbit Hole Sailing LLC and Califia Charters

We’re proud to share exciting news from our new collaborators at Califia Charters — and even more proud to be part of what comes next.

In a recent announcement to the Group Nautique community, Jennifer Daley and Andreas Dedring shared a major milestone for SV Califia:

“Califia’s insurance has been formally bound, clearing the final step required for commercial operations. After a rigorous series of inspections, surveys, and underwriting reviews, she is once again fully approved for charter and instruction.”

After comprehensive in-water and out-of-water evaluations, the surveyor described Califia as being in “Bristol condition,” with Coast Guard inspectors noting how rare it is to see a vessel so thoroughly maintained and fully up to date.

For generations of sailors, Califia has been more than a yacht — she has been a classroom, a proving ground, and a trusted companion on the Bay. Following Club Nautique’s closure, Califia’s stewardship team took a deliberate and thoughtful pause before reopening her to service, prioritizing safety, professionalism, and sustainability.

In their announcement, Califia Charters shared:
